Into The Darkness: A Journey to Self-Love Through Self Examination

In Into the Darkness, Author Jante Gibson-Bryant uses a creative and unapologetic style of writing to tell soul-bearing stories of trauma, and how it affected her mental health.

Through the experience of allowing herself to go into her darkness, Jante learned how her past was shaping the way she saw herself, and experienced life. Eventually she determined, in order to heal thy own self—she'd first have to forgive thy own self.
Jante acknowledges, the journey to self-love has at times proven to be very trying, however she would be the first to admit that it continues to be by way of self-examination, self-accountability and self-forgiveness that she has discovered the power of speaking her truth.

Today, Jante understands that no amount of trauma was ever powerful enough to define her—it was in her taking ownership of the pain that the trajectory of her life was determined. Now she endeavors to use her story as a guide to empower others to journey into their darkness in order that they may also discover healing.

It features a gratitude exercise, yearly and monthly goal trackers, a space for monthly reflections, and so much more. It was created with a focus on normalizing the importance of self-care, self-love and the power of a positive mindset.

As you complete this journal remember...

  • You are always with YOU, so speak well of yourself.

  • You have to see it in your imagination before you see it in your life, or you'll never see it in your life.

  • Never fear making promises to yourself. And when you make promises to yourself keep those promises, because others are gauging how to treat you based on how you treat yourself.

  • Fear is a distraction used to keep you from living the life of your dreams.

At the end of the 12-months it is my hope that you would have fallen deeper and deeper in love with yourself, your purpose, and your life!

Remember...

It is not how you start that will define your journey; it is how you finish. So, Finish Strong!

I Am Seen. I Am Respected. I Am Loved.

Too often we overconsume information as it pertains to the preferences of others. Most times it feels as though the idea of individualism is rapidly dissipating as we've journeyed outside of ourselves to discover acceptance. Sadly, many of us have embarked on impossible missions of being totally liked and embraced by everyone—me included. Consequently, the way we measure our lovableness has been negatively impacted.

The I Am Seen. I Am Respected. I Am Loved. Self-Love Journal is intended for daily use with the hope to inspire the individual to build a healthy and loving connection with themselves.

A portion of all proceeds will be donated to The Period Purse Project!
